Historical Series

James Marshall ,

1999

James Marshall’s Historical Series is a collection of 14 clay relief sculptures. These reliefs pay homage to important stories of Lethbridge. Local to Medicine Hat, Marshall’s use of clay acknowledges the large industry of clay and brick work that came from his city. This work acknowledges the stories of Lethbridge while communicating in a medium that speaks to the region’s history of production.

This work was donated by Lethbridge Odd Fellows and pre-dates the Percent for Art Program.
